We’ve had the Golden Globes. We’ve had the BAFTAs. We’ve had the Critic’s Choice Awards. Next, it’s arguably the main event, the one we wait all year for: the Academy Awards. We have got some excellent contenders this year, from mega blockbusters such as Oppenheimer and Barbie, to quieter entries that built strong followings such as Anatomy of a Fall and The Zone of Interest. If the previous awards shows this year are anything to go by, it might be easy to call the winners already, but there’s always room for a surprise or two!

The following is a run-down of this year’s film nominations for the Academy Awards (Oscars) for 2024. The ceremony will take place at 7pm EST/4pm PST in the US on Sunday 10th March and 12am in the UK on Monday 11th March.
